We are excited to welcome to the lot for the first time: Good on Wheels. Good on Wheels is the brainchild of Tony Vu and Soon Hagerty of The Good Bowl.
Tell us about your truck:
Good on Wheels: Vietnamese street food! We have a menu based around Bao Buns, aka Steamed Buns and Bun Thit Nuong, fresh vermicelli bowls from our flagship restaurant, The Good Bowl. Expect other seasonal specialties such as Papaya Salad, Dumplings, and Wings. We’re also excited to carry over our model of $1 per bowl going to The Good Bowl’s rotation of charities.
Tell us something about the menu that you are excited about:
Good on Wheels: Very excited to serve Bao buns. We’ve got a lineup of Pork Belly, Kaffir Lime Chicken, and Marinated Mushrooms.
What are you listening to while you cook or do work?
Good on Wheels: Depends on who’s cookin! We’ve got a very diverse set of ears. At any given moment, you’re bound to hear 90’s hip hop ,Tool, old school soul, classic rock, and obscure African funk.
What's your favorite drink at The Little Fleet?
Good on Wheels: Fernet and a High Life
What's your favorite hike in the area?
Good on Wheels: Pyramid Point
What local produce are you most looking forward to using this year on the truck?
Good on Wheels: Tomatoes
Who is your chef or restaurant inspiration?
Good on Wheels: Vietnamese street cooks like Co Mai and the Black Chef
What have you been doing in the off season?
Good on Wheels: Went to Vietnam on a culinary journey, came back to a quarantine world. We are keeping things moving at The Good Bowl and started a hospitality relief fund to help out our community of hospitality workers.
Do you have a favorite Little Fleet experience?
Good on Wheels: So many, from Barb’s 40th to Birds of a Feather and Soup and Bread, Little Fleet sure knows how to put on awesome community events.
What's the best thing you ate recently?
Good on Wheels: Quarantine Cookin has been eventful. Recent meals have included Taiwanese Fried Pork Chops and Hand Pulled Cumin Lamb Noodles.
