How can you not love these two.. Brittney and Bray are back at The Little Fleet this summer. After their successful freshman year, they are rested and ready to fill your bellies.
Tell us what's new this year about the truck:
Glendale: We have three new cheeseburgers to put into rotation on our menu. As well as a couple of new fry options. Since we had such an amazing response for our fried chicken sandwiches we are definitely going to try to have them available on designated days.
Tell us something about the menu that you are excited about:
Glendale: We are excited to keep serving our Junction burger which picked up some steam last summer after being awarded best burger in Michigan by taste of home. We have a new burger that’s inspired by a Philly cheesesteak that we can’t wait for everyone to try!
What are you listening to while you cook or do work?
Glendale: We have a Spotify playlist that’s over 30 hours long that we are constantly adding to. While we prep in the morning you can usually find us listening to a true crime podcast or an episode of arm chair expert. Around dinner time we usually switch over to rap to get us through the rush.
What's your favorite drink at The Little Fleet?
Glendale: In the summer we love Miami Vices from the outside bar but in the winter the painkiller on tiki night is amazing.
What's your favorite hike in the area?
Glendale: Empire bluff has some of the most beautiful views we have ever seen!
What local produce are you most looking forward to using this year on the truck?
Glendale: While it’s not produce we are very proud to get all of our beef and chicken from Maxbauers Meat Market. Working with them has been great and their products are always fresh.
Who is your chef or restaurant inspiration?
Glendale: Shake Shack and In ‘N’ Out are inspirations for our style of a smash burger. We couldn’t find anything like it in town so we decided to do it ourselves.
What have you been doing since you moved your truck out of The Little Fleet in October?
Glendale: During our off time we have been spending time with friends and family that we missed while working all summer. We were lucky to be able to take a few vacations. We visited friends in Denver, had an amazing time in Mexico, and ate and drank our way through New Orleans. On top of that we took some time away from cooking and visited all of our favorite TC restaurants that we missed so much!
Do you have a favorite Little Fleet experience?
Glendale: Our favorite Little Fleet experience would have to be our wedding reception that was held there in 2016. We also feel so grateful to have started our business at Little Fleet. It is truly one of the most important places in our lives.
What's the best thing you ate recently?
Glendale: One of the best things we have eaten lately is the fried chicken at Willie Mae’s Scotch House in New Orleans. It’s definitely a must try if you head that way!
